Japan is a place of contrast and compliment. Consistency and change. From the tropical beaches of Okinawa to the snow-covered mountains of Hokkaido and the ever-shifting tectonic plates. From the Shinto Shrines of Kyoto to the bright lights of Tokyo’s Shibuya district and Scramble Crossing. The country is a veritable maelstrom of old and new which harmonise wonderfully to create modern Japan. 

As a global equity investor, I started looking at Japan seriously at the start of 2023, around time the Tokyo Stock Exchange applied a defibrillator to Japan Inc and woke the stock market from its long slumber. 

During this time I have come across some wonderful businesses - some of which I would like to share with you here.
